Flying to Egypt for a holiday and getting to visit another country on top of it — now that takes some doing! The organisation was spot on, clearly honed over years. Our guide was full of energy. Petra itself is stunning. Thank you for the tour!

Grace Hadley

Flawlessly organised, with no complaints whatsoever. The price was half what the tour operator quoted. Petra itself and the canyon are scenic and well worth the visit.

Oliver Pearce

Such an atmospheric place. We'd happily do it all again! Booking was easy and the programme was laid out clearly — everything matched the reality. Thank you!

Anna Wood

Everything went brilliantly — well organised, no delays, and hardly any waiting around. So glad I found your site and booked the tour online.

Daniel Frost

Petra really is a unique, beautiful ancient city. We explored the temple carved into the rock, the colonnades and the amphitheatre, and we even rode a camel. 100% worth it!

What you get

Tour programme

Hotel transfer
You set off from Sharm El Sheikh overnight on a comfortable tourist coach (the exact time depends on your hotel's location). The coach journey to the port of Taba takes around 3 hours (200 km).
Ferry from Egypt to Jordan
You sail by ferry across to Aqaba, Jordan. From the deck you'll enjoy an unforgettable view of three countries at once — Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The sea crossing takes roughly 1 hour.
Transfer from Aqaba to Petra
You travel on to Petra by air-conditioned coach through the Wadi Rum desert. The coach journey takes around 1.5 hours (120 km).
Walk through the Siq canyon
You'll follow the winding path through the Siq canyon, flanked by towering, magnificent rose-coloured cliffs. The route through the canyon stretches 1,200 metres.
The ancient amphitheatre
Petra's amphitheatre was built in the early 1st century AD as Roman influence grew. It's known for its intriguing blend of Nabataean architecture and classic Roman theatre style. The rows of seats are carved directly into the rock.
The Byzantine church
The church was built around 450 AD on Roman ruins as a three-aisled basilica. Its aisles are paved with remarkably well-preserved mosaics depicting both mythical and real animals.
The Al-Khazneh Treasury
Believed to be the tomb-temple of a Nabataean king, created in the 1st century AD. In ancient times the entrance was guarded by the mythical demigod brothers Pollux and Castor, while the upper tier was adorned with dancing Amazons.
The Roman colonnades
The Colonnaded Street was one of the ancient city's main trading thoroughfares. Today only fragments of nine columns survive, along with part of the street paved by the ancient Romans.
The Mausoleum of the Prophet Aaron
Said to be the presumed burial place of Aaron, the brother of Moses and high priest, according to Christian, Jewish and local Muslim tradition.
Climb up Mount Al-Habis
Up to the Crusader-era fortress and a panoramic view over the entire ancient city of Petra.
A hearty lunch at a restaurant
You'll be served a buffet with a variety of Arabic dishes.
Transfer from Petra to Sharm El Sheikh
