Do I need to know how to swim?+
Yes, basic swimming skills are required. You should be able to stay afloat for 10 minutes and swim 200 m without stopping or assistance.
How long does the course take?+
The PADI OWD course takes 2–3 days. It includes 5 theory sessions and 4 open-water dives in Sharm El Sheikh. A theory exam is taken at the end.
What's included in the course price?+
All equipment, an English-speaking instructor, hotel transfer, theory and practical sessions, e-learning materials and videos, PADI registration and an international certificate.
What's the minimum age?+
The minimum age is 10 (PADI Junior Open Water Diver). Anyone over 58 needs a doctor's certificate — this can be arranged with a specialist right here in Sharm El Sheikh.
Are there any medical restrictions?+
A medical check-up isn't mandatory, but diving is not recommended for those with cardiovascular and lung conditions, sinus and ear disorders, epilepsy, claustrophobia or psychiatric conditions.
How deep can I dive after the course?+
The PADI OWD certificate allows you to dive to 18 m. To reach depths of up to 30 m, you can sign up for the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (PADI AOWD) right after the main course.
Where is the PADI certificate valid?+
The certificate is valid anywhere in the world. After passing the exam, you'll be registered in the global PADI system and given a personal account.
Is hotel transfer included?+
Yes, transfer from your hotel to our dive centre and back is included in the course price.
Do I need to pay in advance?+
No, no prepayment is required. Payment is made in cash on the first day of the course — we accept USD, EUR and EGP.
